I’m currently studying for an MA in Media & Journalism at Newcastle University, having graduated with a BA in History. My academic background developed strong research and storytelling skills, which now shape my journalistic voice and approach to cultural writing.
I’m the Music Subeditor at The Courier, Newcastle’s award-winning student newspaper, where I edit and commission articles and design print layouts, something I love deeply, as there’s no feeling quite like seeing your words in print! I also write for *Clash Magazine, Hive Magazine, The Indie Scene* and *The Rock Revival,* and many more, covering live music, album reviews, and artist interviews.
Beyond journalism, I work as an AmeriCamp Brand Ambassador and Influencer, inspiring others to embark on the same life-changing summer I spent working as a camp counsellor in New York. That experience taught me adaptability, confidence, and creativity, all of which feed into how I write and connect with people.
As a Northern-based music journalist, I’m passionate about amplifying voices from a region too often overlooked in the industry. The North East has a rich creative energy, and I want to help bring that to a national stage through thoughtful, authentic writing.
Outside of work, I love film, photography, and live music: capturing stories in every form, from lens to page.
